A valid carpentry license is required to build a pergola that requires council approval. A handyman license is sufficient to build a pergola without council approval. Supplied & installed pergolas (this includes kits) replacement parts due to rotting, and paint!
Pre-Assembly Pergolas – With Or Without Roof Cladding
Pro-tip! You should purchase the pre-assembled pergola that meets your council wind category classifications.
- Dig and pour concrete into the holes in the ground to create footings, level and insert piers that support the posts for pre-assembly pergolas
- Secure the ledge fascia boards and anchor the wall frame to posts
- Secure rafters to fascia boards
- Additional bracing, if required
- Install desired roof cladding
